While at first it took me a minute to understand how it worked, eventually I started clicking it all together. This is a new and fun take on platforming that adds in a sort of "choose-your-own-difficulty" and an upgrade shop that rewards you for choosing harder paths.
While I'm not the best at it, I played some more after I finished the video and had a lot of fun trying to progress further and further! Very well-made game, thanks so much for making it! Congrats on placing in the game jam!
yeah the current difficulty scales up quite quickly, which makes it difficult the first time you play it, but quite nice once you want to restart the run and already know what everything does.
It could use some mechanic which allows the player to increase the base difficulty after a while, but make the initial difficulty easier like other roguelites!

this is awesome, but I think that it could be a bit easier. Although I don't really play platformers that much, so I might just be bad at this.
